Program 02 · Line & Transformer Data

One completed line record.
Three sources brought together.

Completing a line requires both terminal IDs, a matching conductor parameter record, and calculations for the full line length. Similar names alone are not enough.

Fully synthetic data · Illustrates the processing approach

Source 2: 03 Bus Data

Look up the connection IDs required by the output template. Check station name, voltage, and candidate uniqueness for each terminal separately.

Source 3: conductor parameters

Both specification and voltage must match before a parameter row can be used. The specification and values here are independently invented.

Combine into one line record

Positive-sequence resistance of the full line
Resistance per km: conductor parametersLine length: source line worksheet
0.0002p.u./km×20km=0.004p.u.

Multiply resistance per kilometre by line length to obtain the full line's positive-sequence resistance. This example covers that field only; other parameters follow their own rules. A per-unit value is a quantity expressed relative to a chosen base, allowing comparison on a common scale.

Exception: same station name, different voltage

For a source terminal Xingchuan / 220 kV, a candidate Xingchuan / 500 kV is ineligible. Leave that ID empty and flag it for review. The other terminal is assessed independently; one successful match does not validate the whole line.

Program 02 also handles transformers

Match each transformer side to its bus and parse capacity fields under the agreed rules. Transformers share reference data with lines but have their own field rules and produce 05 Transformer Parameters. The line formula shown here does not apply to transformer parameters.
